Emergency Network Los Angeles

Emergency Network Los Angeles (ENLA) was founded in March 1996, two years after the devastating Northridge Earthquake, in order to formally organize the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) for Los Angeles County. ENLA’s mission is to enhance the capacity of non-profit organizations, government agencies, and the private sector in managing emergencies by fostering the "four C's" of emergency management: cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaboration. ENLA’s network of partners, which includes those working in the space of community welfare, as well as those in the field of emergency management, work together to assist individuals, communities, and organizations following emergencies and disasters.
