Fortifying Our Future: Cultivating Community Resilience through FEMA's BRIC Program

This seminar will present an overview of the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program and its priorities. It will detail the structure of the grant opportunity, as well as the non-financial support provided through the BRIC Direct Technical Assistance initiative. An emphasis on disaster-resilient solutions to reduce the risk of wildfire and earthquake hazards will be provided.

About Camille Crain

Camille Crain is the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) Section Chief in the Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Division at FEMA Headquarters. In this role, she led the design and launch, and now oversees the implementation of, the BRIC program. She brings more than 20 years of experience with FEMA’s HMA grant programs at the university, state, and federal levels. Camille came to FEMA HQ from FEMA Region 6, where she served as the HMA Branch Chief in the Mitigation Division. Prior to this role, she was the State Hazard Mitigation Officer for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Camille started her emergency management career at the University of Kentucky, where she was the Commonwealth’s Grants Manager for its Hazard Mitigation Grant Program. Camille holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kentucky, and is a proud member of Big Blue Nation.
